Lorne
Lorne is located
between Fairhaven and Wye River on the Great Ocean Road. It is home to
approximately 1200 people with a good shopping centre and fuel
supplies. It is well protected from the prevailing South Westerly winds
but gets bad weather from the east. There are stunning views from
Teddy's Lookout(picture
above), Erskine Falls and the pier on the Wye River side of the town.
There are numerous bushwalks at the back of the town and Lorne has an
excellent patrolled beach. There are excellent barbeque facilities
overlooking the main beach just past the shops.
